18 months after the last sold out event, the Neighbourhood Store Clothes Swap returns. Wednesday the 11th of August is the date you need to pop into your diary. We know it's a long way off yet, but we usually sell out so get your tickets early. We're also very excited to be hosting the event at the NEW Sussex Yacht Club - well fancy!
ONLY 2 LEFT!
We knew they would sell easily, I mean why wouldn't they?! But wow! We have now received 2 more of these limited prints. Pop in store to see it IRL. It'll blow your eyes then your mind!
As a former member of the band Elastica and having achieved more than she could have anticipated in music, in 2010 Mew made the decision to begin a long overdue degree in fine art (Mew graduated from Brighton University with a first class honour’s degree).
Evoking memory, Mew asks the viewer to engage in the bold colours and imagery of play and having fun, suggesting that these colours, shapes and patterns can mean so much more than they are.
Mew finds inspiration in the stark urban geometry of Brutalist architecture, concrete bunkers and the brightly coloured building blocks of childhood along with the ‘cut outs’ of Matisse and a new found passion in exotic plants.
Mew lives in St. Leonards with her husband and dog and together they share a space at Compendium Studios in the town.
